SS15 - Best of Menswear

Phillip Lim

Here are my favourite collections and individual pieces from the Spring/Summer 2015 Menswear shows. I'm aware they're all monochrome but I've recently been completely obsessed with this trend.

Scrapbook

I recently bought the Teen Vogue handbook and there was one quote that really stood out to me: "Start a scrapbook. Collect anything that interests you, like images from magazines, colour swatches and even fonts. Refer to this book like you would an encyclopedia." It gave me the idea to actually start a scrapbook, I have filled it with all of my favourite photo shoots and articles from magazines. It's like having one big book full of your favourite things.

Phillip Lim Pre-SS15

I love this collection, it's so simplistic and the patterns are amazing! I really like how the colours are put together with the textures and patterns.

Reading?!

I never really read books but I just had to pick these two up. The first book I picked up was 'The World According to Karl' which is, obviously focused on the amazing Karl Lagerfeld. I would recommend this book to anybody who isn't really a huge book-fan, like me. It's full of inspirational quotes relating to life, fashion, diets and many more topics.
The second book I picked up was the 'Teen Vogue Handbook' - I had seen this book a lot around Instagram and youtube, finally, I decided to get it. It's good for anyone wanting to have a future career  in the fashion industry, with many great tips on how to get in and 'survive' in the harsh world of fashion. Which ever career you want to go into, there will be inspirational tips on how to make it. It's an amazing and easy read, I would recommend this to everyone.

Anna Wintour finally chose Kim Kardashian

Has everyone seen the new Vogue US Cover Shoot!? Anna Wintour has finally chose Kim Kardashian for the Cover of Vogue after Kim admitted it was her long cherished dream.  After the rumours of Kanye West begging the Vogue editor-in-chief to feature his fiancee in the magazine, Anna Wintour has denied these rumours and stated that he never did such thing.

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it." - Anna Wintour.

Daria Werbowy

I recently discovered the model Daria Werbowy, after buying the September 2013 issue of Vogue, and i've loved her style of modelling since. She seems a lot different than a lot of other models, I don't really know why. She also looks absolutely amazing for 30 years old!
"I've always wanted to break the stereotype of being a model." - Daria Werbowy
